Zentrum von Iringa verkaufen Frauen Obst, Gem\u00fcse, Reis und Holzkohle \u2013 und tragen zugleich gro\u00dfe Verantwortung f\u00fcr ihre Familien. Zwei von ihnen sind Eva (43) und Joyce (37). Ihre Geschichten stehen exemplarisch f\u00fcr viele Frauen in Tansania, die ihren Alltag unter schwierigen Bedingungen bew\u00e4ltigen und dabei auch f\u00fcr andere da sind.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Eva \u2013 Mutter von drei T\u00f6chtern<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eva ist Mutter von drei M\u00e4dchen: Catherine, Britney und Given. Als sie mit 15 Jahren schwanger wurde, musste sie die Schule abbrechen. Sp\u00e4ter heiratete sie jung. Doch nach der Geburt des dritten Kindes verlie\u00df ihr Mann die Familie \u2013 mit der Begr\u00fcndung, dass sie \u201enur M\u00e4dchen\u201c geboren habe. Seitdem lebt Eva allein mit ihren Kindern.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sie arbeitet t\u00e4glich auf dem Markt in der Semtema-Stra\u00dfe. Mit dem Verkauf von Lebensmitteln sorgt sie daf\u00fcr, dass ihre T\u00f6chter zur Schule gehen k\u00f6nnen. Catherine studiert heute an der Universit\u00e4t in Dodoma, Britney ist Stipendiatin im SCHULBANK-Programm und besucht die Sekundarschule, Given ist noch in der Grundschule.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eva hat sich \u00fcber Jahre hinweg ein kleines Haus mit drei Zimmern gebaut. Sie geht sparsam mit ihren Einnahmen um und versucht, Bildung f\u00fcr ihre Kinder m\u00f6glich zu machen \u2013 auch wenn es manchmal <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kaum reicht.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Joyce \u2013 Tante und Vormund<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Joyce ist ebenfalls Marktfrau in Semtema. Nach dem Tod ihrer Schwester im Jahr 2019 hat sie deren Sohn Daniel aufgenommen, der heute ebenfalls ein SCHULBANK-Stipendiat ist. Joyce lebt weiterhin in ihrer kleinen Mietwohnung, um Daniel Stabilit\u00e4t zu geben.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die Entscheidung, Daniel bei sich aufzunehmen, hatte Konsequenzen: Ihr Ehemann lehnte das Kind ab, die Ehe zerbrach. Joyce blieb. Sie sorgt f\u00fcr Daniel und ihre beiden eigenen Kinder \u2013 und steht wie Eva allein in der Verantwortung.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wie Eva arbeitet auch sie t\u00e4glich auf dem Markt. Die beiden Frauen sind befreundet und unterst\u00fctzen sich gegenseitig.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Gemeinsam stark im Alltag<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eva und Joyce zeigen, was Verantwortung in schwierigen Lebenslagen bedeutet \u2013 ohne gro\u00dfe Worte, ohne \u00f6ffentliche Anerkennung, aber mit Verl\u00e4sslichkeit und einem klaren Blick f\u00fcr das, was getan werden muss. Ihre St\u00e4rke liegt nicht in Heldentaten, sondern im t\u00e4glichen Weitermachen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wer durch die Semtema-Stra\u00dfe l\u00e4uft, erkennt schnell, dass diese Form von nachbarschaftlicher Unterst\u00fctzung kein Einzelfall ist. Frauen helfen einander, springen f\u00fcreinander ein und tragen gemeinsam viele Lasten. Solidarit\u00e4t ist hier gelebter Alltag.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ein weiteres Problem, das Eva und Joyce \u2013 und viele andere Frauen \u2013 betrifft, ist das Fehlen verl\u00e4sslicher Partner. M\u00e4nner, die ihre Familien verlassen oder sich ihrer Verantwortung entziehen, sind keine Ausnahme. Die Folge: Es sind oft die Frauen, die das Land tragen \u2013 in wirtschaftlicher, sozialer und emotionaler Hinsicht.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trotzdem bleiben F\u00fchrungspositionen und Entscheidungsmacht meist M\u00e4nnern vorbehalten. Die Leistung der Frauen wird zwar anerkannt, spiegelt sich aber selten in struktureller Teilhabe wider. Die Pr\u00e4sidentin des Landes ist in dieser Hinsicht eher die Ausnahme als die Regel, zumindest auf den ersten
