New addition to the German team: Sümeyra Rehman
Our new addition Sümeyra Rehman (22) recently completed her studies at Münster University of Applied Sciences and has been an active member of SCHULBANK since April 2019.
Today she introduces herself:
How did you come across SCHULBANK?
SR: Over the last few years, I’ve always wanted to volunteer for an organization. Last October, I saw Alexander’s ad on the Münster Volunteer Agency website and was immediately intrigued. I’ve been actively involved since April this year. And so far I can say: it’s really fun to work with a team that is committed to the future of children!
Do you already have a job at SCHULBANK?
SR: Sure! I’m working on the application for a donation seal for our association. This will increase transparency and security for our existing and potential sponsors. Transparency is a top priority at SCHULBANK – one of the reasons that convinced me to join the organization. That’s why the donation seal is a matter close to my heart.
And what will be your next project at SCHULBANK?
SR: SCHULBANK is currently at a crucial point: we have ideas for microfinancing for graduates, infrastructure projects and collaborations with other organizations and are also regularly approached by other stakeholders. In order to make the best use of our skills and resources, I would like to drive the strategic roadmap forward, expand it further and at the same time consolidate SCHULBANK’s values and goals.
If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
SR: Simple! Free and high-quality education for all, that will solve most other development problems by itself.
