Nachdem sich Schulbank in 2014 auf Kooperationen mit Grundschulen fokussiert hat, freuen wir uns über die ersten erfolgreichen Gespräche mit der weiterführenden Schule  St. Dominic Savio Secondary School in Tosamaganga bei Iringa. St. Dominic Savio Primary School ist bereits eine eng vertraute Partnerschule von Schulbank, die in 2014 Platz 1 des offiziellen Schulrankings in der Region Iringa belegt hat und bereits 15 unserer Stipendiaten unterrichtet. First cooperation with state elementary school

Und es geht doch: Qualifizierte Bildung kann auch an staatlichen Schulen in Tansania stattfinden. Schulbank e.V. geht eine Kooperation mit der staatlichen Primary School Ukombozi in Iringa ein. Ukombozi schnitt im offiziellen Schul-Ranking 2014 als zweitbeste Grundschule in der Region Iringa ab. Für uns von Schulbank ist das ein ganz wichtiges Zeichen. Zeigt es doch, dass hohes Bildungsniveau auch unter einfachsten Bedingungen mit hoch motivierten Lehrern und einem gelebten Teamgedanken erreicht werden kann.
Schulbank e.V.. schickt im März seine ersten 20 Stipendiaten an die Ukombozi Primary School.

Challenging – the first application round 2014/15

The response to our scholarship program in Tanzania has been enormous. In the last two months, we have conducted more than 120 interviews with potential children and their parents or guardians. We pay attention to the social and financial circumstances in which the children live. In some cases, we also look at the living conditions of the families and orphanages on site. The basic prerequisite for a scholarship at Schulbank is a clear commitment from the parents and children, which is confirmed to us, among other things, by the parents’ financial contribution of 25% of the school fees. htz
